A Bit About Terry Hashimoto... in my own words
Of all the things I’ve done, the best is having my only child, Benjamin Alvin Hashimoto whom is featured on the cover on my website, and is approaching today, 3 years of age. " Benny " never met either of his grand fathers, but both his grand mothers adore him and his name sake, Ben is after my father and Alvin after my partners father Alvin.I graduated from the University of Miami in 1981 where I attended the University of Miami on a Golf Scholarship, the first one ever obtained by a Canadian at that University.
I’ve had the good fortune to compete at the highest level – all over the world in Amateur Golf and Professional Golf.
My first attempt at business was the Caddy Shed which was started in 1982 at the age of 22 and I did that for 8 years later selling it to Gary Curtis. The business was the first of its type in Winnipeg, and it is still in existence today with a new owner.
Jazz Golf was founded by myself in 1999, after I had developed a fitting system for graphite shafts that became universally accepted in both Canada and the United States. I made Jazz Golf the most successful line of Canadian Golf Clubs in the history of this nation, and I never stopped fighting to make it a success…In 2005 I left Jazz, to start the worlds first 3 hole golf course, Champions Nest, who’s website is still up and a testament to what one person can do, with his own hands, limited funds, and through some very difficult personal times…
Jazz became into the hands of an investment fund, Ensis, and is still in existence today.
I’m not here for self promotion, I’m here to make a living, provide good service and deal with one customer at a time. Personal buying agreements are a must with me when you work with me, and I run into new things all the time. I’m out there, for You.
